In a land that was formed entirely within the Cenozoic Era (Tertiary) almost 64 million years ago, which lasted until the Neozoic era (or quaternary), begun about 2 million years ago. Here the land, is the result of shallow marine deposits formed in the oligo-Miocene succession, which consists of layers of sandstone togheter with marl and chalk.
The shape of the terrain is an ideal production area for Moscato d’Asti, with hills that are predominantly calcareous and t 300/400 meters above sea level, which induce freshness and primary varietal bouquet.
